There is a group of barrier islands off the coast of Georgia in the United States that has attracted visitors for many years. Many people like to walk along the beach after dark to see the turtles.

Brunswick is of interest to people who want to learn about the historic architecture of the StSimons Island area. The historic quarter has many fine buildings dating back more than a hundred years. There are walking and driving tours round the town. Visitors enjoy browsing round the deep-water harbor, farmers market, antique stores and art galleries. There are some of the finest restaurants in the area to be found here.

For those with nerves of steel, there is a company that organizes a guided ghost walk, beginning near the pier on St. Simons Island. The narrow streets with houses belonging to old seafarers have many tales to tell, no doubt.
